Want to increase your happiness? I’m not a “happy coach,” but here are some thoughts that can help.
Thought #1: Pick your spot. No matter your age…God has a job for you. Think of it this way – embrace your station of life as a gift. Don’t pull out the crutch of being too young or too old. Enjoy where you’re at right now as a gift. You have something to offer others.
Thought #2: Enjoy the fact that God likes people. People can steal our happiness. They may be the #1 cause. And when we allow that to happen, we often get aggravated, irritated, and even hateful to the people around us. The people around you matter. If we hate, we push away. When we push away life get’s very lonely. Isolation is not a good place for us. We could actually say, “enjoy the fact that God really likes people!” It’s just true.
Thought #3: Decide and implement. Do something. Start a project. Initiate conversation. Begin something. Don’t sit in sadness. Don’t soak in yesterday’s loss. Write down a simple plan for your next step and then implement.
